Who can participate?
Sine Negrense film competition is open to all Negrosanon who are born and/or currently residing in Negros Island.
When is the start of submission and deadline of entries?
Submission of entries will start on May 1, 2024. Deadline of Entries is on October 1, 2024.
What are the different categories that I can enter?
School Category

Can I submit more than one film in a single category?
Only one (1) film per filmmaker /proponent is allowed. For the intercollegiate category, there is no limit to the number of film entries an institution can submit.
My film has competed previously in other Film Festivals. Will this be an issue for submission?
Films previously submitted and won at other film festivals shall be accepted but limited to local (Negros) film competitions only. Entries submitted to regional and national film festivals/competition shall be accepted under the Exhibition Section.
I graduated in the past semester/within the past year from college/high school. Am I still eligible to submit to the student competition?
For Inter-school Category, in order to be included in the official selection, all crew, and staff should be students of the proponent school/institution. All crew and staff are required to submit a copy of their valid school ID. Proponents may opt to cast actors who are non-students.
I submitted my film last year but was not part of the official selection. Can the same film be resubmitted this year?
Films must be made within 12 months prior to the festival.

Do you accept international submissions?
We accept international submissions by Negrosanon filmmakers.

Copy of Filmmakers ID and School Endorsement Letter (For Intercollegiate Category)
Copy of Proponent's Government Issued ID (For Open Category)
Entry Film’s complete and Final Cut (Must be submitted in 1080p or 720p, mp4 File Format)
30 sec to 1 min. Trailer (In 1080p or 720p, mp4 File Format)
Digital Poster (Recommended size: 1080 x 1350 pixels)

How can I receive notification that my films has been submitted?
An auto respond will be sent to your email after you have submitted your entry form.
When will I hear about the results?
Announcement of official selection will be on the last week of October, 2024.
When will the awards be given out?
Sine Negrense Awards Nights will be on November 30, 2024.
Do I need to obtain all rights for music and other copyrighted material in my film?
Permits of images, music, video footage used in the film must be acquired by the filmmakers if he/she does not own the copyright of the materials used.
